Sarah Brayer, of Kyoto Japan, is known internationally for her poured washi paperworks, woodblock prints, and aquatints.
Her works reside in the collections of the British Museum, the Smithsonian, the Legion of Honor and the Zimmerli Art Museum to name a few.
Joann Moser, curator emeritus for twentieth century American prints and drawings at the Smithsonian, states this about Sarah, “Free experimentation with traditional print and paper methods are the qualities that make Sarah Brayer’s art unique. Her fertile imagination and consummate craftsmanship distinguish her as one of the leading artists of her generation.”
